My November Book Talk

“They had murdered her mother, her father, her twin sister and so many of the Dead Hollow lair.”

The quote you heard before is from the book Willa Of the wood by Robert Beaty. I have a few books that I need to read before I will be able to read the book I found in the book talk that I recently watched. But for now I will be book talking the book I am reading now, which is Willa Of the Wood by Robert Beaty, that I quoted before.

This book is about a young Faeran girl named Willa who lives in the Great Smoky Mountains with her grandmother. Willa lives with her grandmother because her parents and her twin sister have been killed, as you heard in the quote before. Willa was a part of a Faeran clan run by a padaran. Everybody in the clan treats him as a god. But once some awful events happen and spine chilling discoveries occur, Willa leaves her clan. Now she is on her own. Where will she go?

A BHH moment I had while reading this book was, I was really worried for Willa when she was discovering secrets about her clan. Read the book Willa Of The Wood, by Robet Beaty to find out what Willa does and how she survives.

The book I found that intrigued me was Insignificant Events in the Life of a Cactus by Dusty Bowling. I want to give a shout out to Maddie R. who book talked this book to me. Maddie’s book talk made me want to read the book because she made the book sound very intriguing when she added the part about the mystery the girl and her friend worked to solve. She also made me want to read the book because she explained what the main character said about her arms.

Thanks again Maddie. And make sure to read Willa Of the wood by Robert Beaty.
